Home for the Holidays
You've got to love how Wright State sets up its schedule. I've been home for WINTER BREAK since the 17th! And I don't have to go back for the next quarter until January 1st. Ah, I love this nice long break.
On the last week of school before coming home it was time for exams. Of course I had one on Monday and two on Friday with nothing inbetween. Well, I had papers to turn in for two other classes, but they were due anytime before 4 PM Thursday. I just recently was able to check all of my grades. Straight A's! Whoo! I was surprised with Calc 2. I could've sworn I'd get a B.
Well, Christmas is approaching quickly... Which means it'll be my birthday even sooner! I need to go get presents for people... I'm never very good at picking stuff out though...
I went in to Wendy's the other day to see about working... Connie, the manager that hired me, recognized me and told me to leave my number, they'd call. I got the feeling that meant "if they need me"... So I should probably find something else to earn some money...
Oh well. It's good to be home.

Cool. I got a 91 on that math test.
The final on Monday is a "common final", so all the Calc II students take it no matter which teacher they had. I hope that means it's easier...

*Sigh*
Whew. Next week is finals week. I've almost made it through the first quarter of my college career! On Monday the 13th I have my Calculus final in the afternoon. I still have not found out my grade on the second test... I have a feeling I'm probably going to get a B in that class. English and the Spanish movie class just have papers that I have to turn into the teacher's mailbox anytime during finals week. That leaves Spanish and Computer Science, both of which are on Friday the 17th. I'll have an A in both of those... And damn near a 100% in Spanish. After that I get to go home for winter break which lasts through January 1st!
OK, on a completely unrelated note... Why do smart people do such stupid things? Or more particularly, why do they lack sense? I don't mean all smart people... I'm thinking of one in particular *coughmysistercough*. I know she's smart, but recently it's become harder to see that. A deadbeat boyfriend that is arround constantly is the problem. First off, he's an idiot. I know he graduated from high school, but I think he got pretty lucky there. He has this personality that any normal person can't stand. You know those people who, you don't know why, but they just get on your nerves? He's one of them. He's 21... She's 17! He has the mentality of a 12 year old. Tempertantrums aren't uncommon and he has a very short temper. The smallest sarcastic comment can send him into a cussing fit and he'll walk out the door... It's actually pretty funny sometimes. I just don't see what she sees in him. She could do much better... She deserves so much better. In the end, it's her life, if she wants to screw it up I guess there's not much I can do about it.
